Planet Snooker .com League rules & regulations Following the recent players meeting held at the County Cricket Ground Chester-le-street, I have listed below the key salient points agreed and discussed. League to commence w/c 31 st October Delayed by one week, fixtures from week one will be played at the end of season The League This year the premier league shall consist of 11 players as per attached list. The “Championship” shall consist of 10 players being made up from player from previous seasons and we also welcome three new players, Andrew Aisbitt, Mark Davies & Neil Philips. Prize Money As in previous seasons I shall be paying out all monies received as a prize fund, the final pay-outs will be as followed and as agreed at players meeting Premier League

• Three players from the Premier League will be relegated • Three players from the championship will be promoted into the Premier League. • A player must provide a minimum of 24 hours notice when cancelling or rearranging a fixture, he must also notify Gary Astley via text on 07974-905-147 • Failure to provide 24 hours notice will result in the player being deducted 3 points • Should a player not turn up for 2 fixtures and not provide the apprpopiate notice, the player will be removed from the league. • Should any player be removed from the League or should a player withdraw from the league mid season, all the fixtures relating to the said players games will be withdrawn and all points deducted accordingly, as if the fixtures had not been played. • It is the home player's responsibility to text the result of the fixture through to me on 07974-905-147.
THIS MUST BE DONE IMMEDIATELY FOLLOING THE GAME
• Should a player not text result in as above they will have seven points deducted from their tally at that time. • If a player does not have a mobile for this purpose please borrow one. • Completed result sheets to be sent to Gary Astley, 14 Valley Gardens , Low fell, Gateshead , Tyne & Wear NE9 5EB • RESULT SHEETS TO BE RECEIVED WITHIN 3 DAYS OF FIXTURE • As last season should players wish to scan & mail the result sheet through this is acceptable.
STARTING TIMES
• Each game is to start at 7.30pm • Should a player not arrive by 7.45pm they will loose 1 frame • Should a player not arrive by 8.00pm they will loose 3 points • Should a player not arrive by 8.15pm they will loose 7 points • In all cases the match must then still be played at an alternative date, this date and result to be notified to myself in the normal way • Note is was also agreed that a player must ring ahead if they are delayed in anyway that may prevent the player arriving for a 7.30pm start • Note during the season should circumstances occur that are out of the players control that prevent him from providing 24 hours notice, or attending a fixture then I shall based on the information provided use my own discretion to determine if any penalties should be imposed.
• Dress Code will be black smart trousers, black shoes, & Planet Snooker Polo shirt Please note certain venues also have their own rules of dress code, and rules relating to female & junior visitors. Please check with all venues to clarify their individual arrangements
• Each home venue is to ensure a set of Aramith Tournament match balls are provided for match play.
• May I also strongly suggest that each player checks and agrees they are happy with balls provided before the match starts, this will avoid any disputes at a later stage • Any disputes relating to any of the rules, or the result of anyone match must be submitted to me within 24 hours of the fixture being played, after this time no dispute will be recognised and the result will stand as reported. Referees • As last season the Premier league will have referees allocated, many of the Premier players now have a fixed arrangement with local referees which I am happy to fully endorse, as long as the home player takes full responsibility to ensure the referee receives there appropriate fee.
• The Championship is to run whereby it is the home player's responsibility to provide a nominated person to replace balls and to score the board, the decision making effecting the game is to be adjudicated by the players The Miss rule If Snookers are required no miss can be called, the miss rule and all other to apply as per rules of game. Web site updates & press reports The web site will be updated by 9am each Monday during season; this will commence w/c 21st November 2005. The reports in local press will appear as last season; however I totally rely on you the player texting through the result immediately following the game, I will then compile full results for papers on Wednesday evening between 10-10.30pm, so please remember to text results in. The Full league tables will also appear periodically in the press, and updated each Monday on web site. As a point of note from last season, should any player change any details, home night, mobile number etc, please let me know and I will send out an update via post in addition to the web site. Upon receipt of the attached please read carefully and should you have any questions please contact me immediately and I will do my best to answer any questions you may have.
